My Background
& Why I vlog
I have been watching YouTube Vlogs for years, every upload every day like clock-work. Yousef Erakat, Roman Atwood and many others are people I feel I know not just as a viewer, but on a deeper personal level.
I know what their lives are like, what their messages are, what gets them up in the morning. I marvel at their ability to express themselves, their dreams, and their ambitions all while inspiring and motivating their viewers to self improve and to give back. This method of self-expression is something I decided I want to experiment with and see whether or not I am built for it.
It isn't about my own narcissism or gaining a following that made me pick up a camera, but rather just the smallest thrill of displaying my life in short videos. Tiny snippets that show what goes on behind the scenes in the life of that tall guy you might see down the street or at the gym. Vlogging gives people the opportunity to preview my life through a different medium, to develop a varied more well informed understanding of who I am, and ultimately allows me to express that life in the way I want to.
